Quick Edit Shortcut

Hey everybody! My name is Andrew. I’m a product designer and co-founder of Timestrip. And today, I want to share with you one small hidden shortcut that allows you to quickly edit your goals. And that is Alt + Click.

Let me show you how it works. As you know, when you add goals in Timestripe, you first see this text box that lets you quickly type your goal, hit enter, and type the next one. But when you click on the goal you just created, we have a full-featured notes editor here. Where you can add your notes, pictures, upload files, attach Google Maps, Instagram posts, Twitter posts, and so on and so on.

But what you probably didn’t know is that there is a hidden shortcut that allows you to reverse this behavior, and that is Alt + Click. So when you press and hold down the Alt key on the keyboard or the Option key on the Mac and click on the Add button, you can open a notes editor instead of a text box and vice versa. By holding down the Alt key and clicking on your goals, you can enable fast editing mode, rewrite the text and hit enter.
